Praveen Purohit

Praveen Purohit is a very passionate Nature and Wildlife Photographer specializing in the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand, India He has been in love with the Himalayas ever since he was a child. He was an engineer in his previous avatar, but the calling for Himalayas was so strong that he eventually quit his job and embarked on a journey to discover the Himalayas first hand, and is currently exploring the region. Praveen is in love with the culture and beauty of the Mighty Himalayas and specializes in capturing the Majestic Landscapes and beautiful birds of the region. He is also fascinated with the night sky and captures a lot of Nightscapes too. He loves trekking to the remotest corners of the Himalayas, staying for days in remote villages and tents in the Wilderness for his shots. One of his images has been published in the highly Prestigious Magazine “ Nature’s best Photography” , and he recently won an award for the best image for the State of Uttarakhand in a nationwide competition organised by Immagine. He conducts photography workshops and Expeditions exclusively in the Uttarakhand Himalayas, he has also conducted several Nature Photo walks over a period spanning two years exploring the wilderness around Mumbai.
